The first day of our International Student Week started with a welcome session, where student participants came together to learn more about their host city, Barcelona. They were introduced to tapas, pintxos, paella, sangria, Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou, and the music of Rosalía.
Our energetic in-house Spanish teacher, Ms. Paula Navarro, kicked off the day’s activities by asking the participants to write the first word that came to mind when they heard the word “Barcelona.” Using a QR code, the participants submitted their answers, which were displayed in real time on the screen. Several fun activities followed.
The highly interactive group work ended with the participants learning more about each other, celebrating different cultures, and, of course, becoming even more fascinated and amazed by the beautiful city of Barcelona.
The first day of International Student Week was more than just an introduction; it was a celebration of unity through diversity, paving the way for meaningful interactions and lifelong friendships.
