Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibilty
Sustainability is one of the main pillars of the Swiss School of Management Barcelona, forming part of the values, research, training, and conscious activities created and promoted by the institution. Because the economic, social, and environmental challenges of today show the need to redefine the current social and productive model in addition to financial profit.
Responsible Leadership
We firmly believe in leading responsibly by example in and through business organizations. It is our duty as a higher educational institution to shape future business leaders through their actions and decisions, to promote the protection of the environment, to improve the well-being of all their stakeholders, and to encourage the same efforts from their teams and organizations.

We are all called to action to promote change for the common good. The Swiss School of Management starts with its mission: We aim to provide students with quality education by providing innovative tools within a participative and inclusive learning environment. We aim to create an intellectually rigorous learning environment and show uncompromising dedication to those we serve. As a commitment, we deliver fundamental knowledge through professors with real-life experience. We ensure a climate supporting diverse cultures, ideas, and insights. We develop students’ ethical awareness and nurture them to become inspirational and dynamic leaders. We can do it together.

We are making progress in reducing our environmental impact.
The Swiss School of Management regularly measures the environmental impact of its activities and actions as part of its focus on becoming a sustainable organization with a positive impact. Some of the initiatives designed to reduce our environmental impact include:
- We operate a paperless office and encourage working from home when needed to cut down on our carbon footprint in the workplace.
- “Think before you print”: awareness raising in our community about reducing the number of printed documents and using equipment responsibly.
- When necessary, we use FSC-certified paper, promoting responsible, social, and economic management of the world’s forests.
- We have increased digital over paper formats for promotional and advertising materials.
- Talent Garden Barcelona, a certified LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building and space, hosts the Swiss School of Management Barcelona.
- Buildings consume energy and resources at an alarming rate. We can do better. LEED provides a framework for healthy, efficient, carbon and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement, and it is backed by an entire industry of committed organizations and individuals paving the way for market transformation.
- Supporting proximity: We source local, organic products for personal consumption on our premises.
